When we continued, we passed something one could call a junk yard, but to us it looked like the scenery for a strange movie.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/blog\/2015\/04\/30\/of-sheep-and-wolves\/20150430_113313\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-644 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_113313-e1430955279749-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"20150430_113313\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_113313-e1430955279749-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_113313-e1430955279749-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_113313-e1430955279749-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>When we were at about four km from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shillelagh,_County_Wicklow\">Shillelagh<\/a>, we passed the <a href=\"http:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/File:Dying_Cow_Pub_Stranakelly.jpg#\/media\/File:Dying_Cow_Pub_Stranakelly.jpg\">Dying Cow Pub<\/a>, where an old man told us that it&#8217;ll open in 20 minutes, so we continued the walk. A <a href=\"http:\/\/visitwicklow.ie\/food-drink\/parkview-house-shillelagh\/\">somehow shabby looking building<\/a> was about the first we saw. It had <em>restaurant &amp; bar<\/em> written on it.<\/p>\n<p>A completely drunk lad stumbled out of one of the doors and tried to talk to us, which only worked partly. Motivated by his state, we entered the door he had come out of. Standing in an almost dark room, we saw another room behind the bar, to which we went next. As the audience of the The Snug was not the usual friendly kind, we had until then, we just had a pint and went on to check in at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wicklowway.com\/accommodation\/shillelagh-bed-breakfast-maritana.php\">Maritana B&amp;B<\/a>, which was by far the nicest and most modern we had on our way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/blog\/2015\/04\/30\/of-sheep-and-wolves\/20150430_160525_hdr\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-647\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-647 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_160525_HDR-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"20150430_160525_HDR\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_160525_HDR-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_160525_HDR-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150430_160525_HDR-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>After a shower and with the good feeling that we have finished the whole thing, Mrs. Berna O&#8217;Brien told us there was no other place than the restaurant next to the Snug for dinner.\u00a0 We thus also came to enter the third door of the building and found an <a href=\"http:\/\/britishfood.about.com\/od\/introtobritishfood\/a\/myths.htm\">acceptable restaurant<\/a> where we had pizza with chips, dry roast beef and overcooked pasta.
