The weather was nice with temperatures only little below ten degrees. This was finally the Ireland that we were hoping to find!<\/p>\n<p>After walking along a <a title=\"Glencree River\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/viewer?oe=UTF8&amp;t=h&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;msa=0&amp;mid=zot4tv3QCZL8.k5KJHBswrwRU\">river<\/a> and seeing a <a title=\"Powerscourt Waterfall\" href=\"http:\/\/powerscourt.com\/waterfall\">waterfall<\/a> for several hours, climbing several hundred meters, we reached the peak of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Djouce\">Djouce<\/a> (725 m). It was time for the next <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gipfelmoshen.de\/gipfel\/gallery_mitmosher.php?galvar[name]=djouce_2015-04-26.jpg#s\">Gipfelmoshen<\/a> in freezing wind, but at least with clear sight. The gray stripe in the background actually is <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Irish_Sea\"><span lang=\"ga\" xml:lang=\"ga\">Muir \u00c9ireann<\/span><\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/blog\/2015\/04\/26\/walking-in-the-tropics-2\/20150426_122145_9\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-561\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-561 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/20150426_122145_9-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"20150426_122145_9\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/20150426_122145_9-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/20150426_122145_9-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/20150426_122145_9-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>We had a nice lunch break below the peak eating the remaining baguette and some garlic potatoes and corn Mr. C had bought in Dublin. The onward journey brought us another peak, <a href=\"http:\/\/osm.org\/go\/es~CRVuc_?node=597473809\">White Hill<\/a> (630 m), which was happily taken for another round of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gipfelmoshen.de\/gipfel\/gallery_mitmosher.php?galvar[name]=white-hill_2015-04-26.jpg#s\">Gipfelmoshen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/blog\/2015\/04\/26\/walking-in-the-tropics-2\/20150426_131523\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-568\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-568 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150426_131523-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"20150426_131523\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150426_131523-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150426_131523-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mindzoo.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/20150426_131523-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a> However, nice the walk was, the final part was a stretch again, walking down to the valley on a paved road, which was pretty hard on knees and feet.<\/p>\n<p>Deliverance finally came in form of the blonde angel Ashley (name according to pub bill), who served us cheese cake in glasses at the <a href=\"http:\/\/thecoachhouse.ie\/\">Coach House<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roundwood\">Roundwood<\/a>. After the refreshment, we felt strengthened enough for the final meters to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wicklowway.com\/accommodation\/roundwood-bed-breakfast-riverbank.php\">Riverbank B&amp;B<\/a>, where Josie McCabe offered us tea and a re-vitalising shower.<\/p>\n<p>We found nice food and a cakey desert in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.byrneandwoods.com\">Byrne &amp; Woods<\/a>. During our meal, we heard that someone in the associated pub was playing violin and some sort of bag pipe. Made curious by this, we went over after dinner and found a group of a dozen people with instruments that were playing Irish folk music, to which we listened for some time. We were happy not to have met Kim, though.
